Let God’s grace be the mosque, and devotion the prayer mat. Let the Quran be the good conduct.

Guru Nanak came to redeem the kaliyug.

Today 04/11/2017 in India we celebrating #Gurpurab #Gurunanak

Firstly I wish happy Gurpurab to all.

Guru Nanak Jayanti, also called Gurpurab, will be celebrated on Saturday to mark the 548th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of the faith. Thousands of Gurudwaras across India.

About Guru Nanak Dev ji-

Guru Nanak has been called “one of the greatest religious innovators of all time”. He travelled far and wide teaching people the message of one God who dwells in every one of His creations and constitutes the eternal Truth. He set up a unique spiritual, social, and political platform based on equality, fraternal love, goodness, and virtue.

Guru Nanak emphasised Nam Japna (or Naam Simran), that is repetition of God’s name and attributes, as a means to feel God’s presence.

Here are some teaching of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

The Provider Lord listened to the cries (of humanity), Guru Nanak descended into this world. Washing His feet and praising God, he got his Sikhs to drink the ambrosial nectar (of humility). In this Dark Age, he showed all gods to be just one. The four feet of Dharma, the four castes were converted into one. Equality of the King and beggar, he spread the custom of being humble. Reversed is the game of the beloved; the egotist high heads bowed to the feet. Baba Nanak rescued this Dark Age; read ‘satnam’ and recited the mantra. Guru Nanak came to redeem this Dark Age of Kaljug. Bhai Gurdas – Vaar 1 pauri 23

Community lunches arranged by Gurudwaras, known as langar, are organised by volunteers and hundreds gather to eat together. The idea behind the langar is to offer everyone – irrespective of caste, class, creed or religion – food, in the spirit of service and devotion (seva and bhakti)

As Langar has been started by Guru Nanak Dev ji. The true motive to evade the casteism, rich-poor . Every one is equal in eyes of God.

Jap ji is a prayer at the beginning of the Granth Sahib, considered the holy scripture of sikhs. It was composed by Guru Nanak Dev.

ik oankaar sat naam kartaa purakh nirbhou nirvair akaal moorat ajoonee saibhang gur prasaad.

One Universal Creator. This is the single sound from which procreation, upbringing and destruction is taking place. This sound has come·from that “One”. The Name Is Truth. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying, Beyond Birth, Self-Existent. By Guru’s Grace.

On the ocassion of Gurpurab its a national level holiday & its also wished by India prime minister Sh. Narendra Modi

Best gift given bu twitter India (@twitterindia)

On this day #gurunanak #gurpurab is on trending on twitter world wide .

So guys please live with peace, harmony .

There is but One God. His name is Truth; He is the Creator. He fears none; he is without hate. He never dies; He is beyond the cycle of births and death. He is self-illuminated. He is realized by the kindness of the True Guru. He was True in the beginning; He was True when the ages commenced and has ever been True. He is also True now. Guru Nanak

It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.

This article is strict observation of my thoughts, not representing   anyone. In India every festival interconnect ever religion people. My focus is on peace . Follow path as my Guru Nanak define .

Yesterday is the day of festival called Diwali. I used to celebrate that when I was child. I don’t know with the growing age I lost that spirit, that joy, innocence. I m feeling down , what happen to me?? Where that joy gone .

In India we mix religion with festivals. Sikh, Hindu should know about history of there festivals . But many people say this not our festival, why we celebrate??

That’s all bullshit. Most of this viral spread from social networks. Like I see many post on Facebook and on Twitter. You can randomly search on google.

This quote (Shabad) is in Sikh holy book( Shri Guru Granth Sahib)-

“Diwali Di Raat, Deeve Baliyan, Jaage Sant Jana, Mere Ram Pyaare”

I think it defines that on the night of Diwali we all light up Deevas. The lightening of lamps is a way of paying a gesture expressing deferential respect, such as a bow or Curt’s to god for attainment of peace, love, wealth, health and knowledge.

Diwali is most important. Diwali is the time for everyone to rejoice looking forward to a bright future.

Very enthusiastically enjoyed by people of every religion, it’s magical and radiant touch creates an atmosphere of joy and festivity. Diwali, festival of lights, symbolizes the victory of right over wrong and lifting of spiritual darkness.

Nirvana is not the blowing out of the candle. It is the extinguishing of the flame because day is come. ~ Rabindranath Tagore

The above lines of Shri Rabindranath Tagore – means For love is the ultimate meaning of everything around us. It is not a mere sentiment; it is truth; it is the joy that is at the root of all creation. ” – Sadhana: The Realisation of Life (1913)

I knew Diwali is a Hindu festival, but I get joy of celebrating it . I want celebrate every year & pass it on to my generations . That’s my wish .

People come to Sikh temple of every religion. In langar every person irrespective of caste , religion, status sits together & eat Gods langar. Eating langar – is started by my first Guru – Guru Nanak Dev ji.

In India on auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev ji birthday celebrate by everyone. It’s a national holiday.

So please celebrate Diwali regardless of caste, religion. Just be happy.

Diwali is about setting goals, not accumulating gold. As Lakshmi comes from Lakshya, meaning Goal. Tapan Ghosh

HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL
